Mr. Fat Feesh is finally getting a paint job! Check out these progress pics.
I’ll be picking up a smaller needle for my airbrush this week so that I can get a bit more detailed. He needs some slight highlights around the face and maybe a pearlescent hint here and there. Fun fun fun!

So things are falling into place and moving forward!
Since the last post i’ve collected all the parts and assembled my pressure pot, put final touches on my sculpt, cast two beautiful two part molds, and begun assembling a resin cast army of Fluff Fins!
Here are some quick pics of my first pull, before cleanup and sanding.

Today I finally, after much research, purchased my airbrush and first round of paints. So stay tuned for more pictures!

With the holiday keeping me from the items I ordered to help me finish some pieces..sanding sponges and such…I decided to do some Sculpey therapy! I hated not having something to show for the last few weeks so this post feels sooooo good!
First up! I spent today making this little guy! I saw this red tailed catfish in the local pet store last week and its been floating around in my head ever since :d I think he’s pretty darn cute, but I have an odd sense of cute sometimes. He still needs his whiskers finished and to be baked/painted.
*EDIT* Im so excited about painting this guy and potentially creating an army of these cuties that I did some rough paint ups in Photoshop for fun

I realized I also haven’t posted anything on this guy. Still rough but getting there! In these pics im trying to decide what to do with his ears…let me know what you think !
And here is a concept sketchy sketch I did final semester for the Hasbro workshop.

Yay! It feels good to post this. I’ve been working on him on and off between other projects and the holidays events. Here he is, before being baked, sanded, polished, and eventually painted. So I can’t quite say he is ‘done’ but there is no more sculpting to be done and he can put aside while I get to other items on my list. Look forward to a post around the end of Jan. for the Monkeynaut project! I can’t wait to show you guys but for now i’ll have to be patient

So I’ve been working the last week with a good friend on a collaborative project. We are really excited about it and so I thought I would show a page of concept sketches! There’s a lot more of these but we’ve decided to keep them under wraps for now

I spent my last day out here in San Francisco hanging out with my brother in law, watching season 4 of Breaking Bad, and coloring this little guy!
He’s a cutie! Isn’t he?

Alright so i’ve decided to work on a small package of 2D concept designs for (the very popular) social browser games. I’m working off of my already existing character the butcher/ fisherman. So things like his house, boat, dock, traps, nets, fishing poles, baskets of his various catches, his market where he sells his catch, market stand, and then the foliage that would populate his world. The idea is that the player can buy these items and decorate the world whatever way they want.
Im working with the color scheme for his simple shanty house. I want it to feel lived in and weathered but still bright and inviting. Once I get into the final painting im going to add in smaller details ..fishing paraphernalia strewn here and there.
